This episode was supposed to bring some Winterfest celebrations. Managed to capture a few pictures/screenshots before the Snowy Escape update.

Since I was desperately wanting to experience the base game update with Sentiments, I had loaded my save so that the continuation of the story had more depth. This was before all the issues were announced.

Like most Simmers, my game broke during these updates corrupting this save file. Any further copies / backups had the same issue.

While EA was gathering details to complete a further update that will later fix these issues, I took a break from this Let’s Play. Unfortunately my save file was never going to recover, so I took the plunge to advance into Generation Two (Rose) creating a new save with Rosendo as a Teen. Of course Mint came along too, planning on continuing as much as possible with the challenge from Generation One but our main focus will now be with Rosendo.

Hope my viewers understand my decision to adapt this challenge, as it would not have happened if system problems had not been present.

Everyone was in great spirts after their recent vacation, despite the little tiny hick-up. Rosendo had a great report from school, Everett called wanting to head out & Jules got promoted. He celebrated by having a night of passion with Mint while the kids took care of themselves in the morning that followed.

So it was time to spend a day with the kids, before they get neglected. Mint arranged to take them to the park as it was a nice day. She had a bite to eat with Rosendo and his newly enquired BFF, while Roselyn went to play in the ball pit. Roselyn started wandering off to investigate while watching another kid play the adventure frame, so Mint had to follow to make sure she was alright. Mint then showed her the cool feature pretending to be in space, after-all she had seen some stuff herself during her alien visit’s. Roselyn was delighted and had great fun.

Roselyn birthday was starting to become upon us, Mint was glad she had spent this day in the park with the kids. It was also during the time when the base game got updated with sentiments before the release of Snowy Escape. Roselyn blew out her candles aging to a kid & Rosendo very quickly gained a sentiment with Jules ‘adoring’. Not really sure what to make of the relationship.

Mint decided for Roselyn birthday, that they should head out to dinner. During the evening, one of the waiter’s decided to met the grim reaper. This changed the whole atmosphere of original celebration but Mint was glad she still took the family out.

The following week came Winterfest along with some important updates.

Time for a little vacation since everyone was becoming exhausted from work, each requiring some down time. Mint tells the family she has booked a little holiday home in Selvadorada. Rosendo suddenly became unhappy about this, but as soon as they arrived, he had a great time meeting some new friends.

Jess attempted to contact Jules during this vacation break, so he hid quietly in a corner to reply. Jules advised Jess to stay away & to stop texting, as he had found out about Mint plans with the doll. Jess took his advice and cooled off the relationship for several weeks.

Rosendo invited one of his new holiday friends round to watch a movie and hang out. He was beginning to really enjoy every minute with his new found friends. He also spent time at park with Juan Alexander becoming BFF’s later on.

Just before it was time to head back home, Jules set the kitchen stove on fire. Emergency services were called, as not our home, Mint not wanting to be charged extra. Shortly afterwards the family quickly departed heading home, hoping they would never be found out for destroying the holiday villa.

Mint was woken up by another visit from the aliens, seems they really like her & vice versa. Never played with aliens so this is most abductions any of my sims have ever had.

Since it was the weekend the garden gnomes club gathered in the park. Mint now had the chance to introduce herself properly to the members of the club. So she gathered and had a few discussions with each member. The voting had also opened for the next Neighbourhood Action Plan (NAP) so Mint uses all her points voting for creative arts to help with Jules career as freelance stylist.

Played a few more days with nothing much happening, until it was Rosendo’s birthday. Mint baked a chocolate cake for him to blow out his candles, then a handsome child appeared. Mint then had to go to the local store to search for a bed as now outgrown toddler bed. The following morning she had time to spare getting kids breakfast and enjoying chats around the table. Not sure where Jules ended up at this point.

By the end of the week Mint had earned yet another raise, promoting herself to Ufologist. Breakthroughs have been happening without any interactions from myself, so concentrating on the tasks during working hours allows Mint to succeed very quickly. (never realized before how the scientist career can be doddle to play). With her bonus, mint bought a Voodoo doll and immediately knew who she was going to prank. Next time Jules had his another lover round, the doll was bounded. Mint was now in total control, ensuring her man would not stray away from her.

Jules was delighted about the arrival of Baby Roselyn, despite the night before. Rosendo, on the other hand, got very angry. He was more than happy, having his room all to himself. Mint headed to work in good spirits, completing all tasks early. This gave her some time to catch up with colleagues and managing to continue reading her book.

Mint did such a good job, that she ended up getting a promotion (Technological Innovator). She chilled at home that night, before heading to bed. The thunderstorms outside were scaring Rosendo again, but he continued to watch videos on his tablet to forget about them so Mint to could have a chilled night. After-all she had just had another baby & working extremely hard at the lab.

The following day Jules headed out to make some Eco Friendly parts to upgrade the appliances in the kitchen, looking to reduce household bills. The inspector will be due to visit again, he thought. Mint started feeling insecure yet again, as he was taking longer then she expected. I mean ‘How long does it take to make three parts?’ Jules returned home, listening to Mint’s ranting ‘n’ raving, waiting to speak. Jules then got chance to explain. “There was only one Fabricator on site, with everyone wanting to use it at the same time”.

Next few days played out as normal, until Everett invited Mint out to a party. She hadn’t been out in such a long time, so she accepted his invitation buying drinks for the group.

The following day it was Roselyn birthday. When she woke up from the party last night, Roselyn was in the process of aging by herself. There were now two toddlers in the house.

Voting opened over weekend for the next Neighbourhood Action Plan (NAP). Fun Loving Community was in the lead, so both Jules & Mint contributed to the votes ensuring this outcome for Mint’s mischievous streak. They also bought a television for the bedroom during that weekend with Jules’ bonus from his recent promotion. It just so happened that it was also rebate day, so a very little extra payment came rolling in.

Mint had taken her family leave this time, as the next few days at work were starting to be little tiring since the pregnancy was nearing due date. While Jules went to work, Mint had a little afternoon nap. Rosendo was happily playing so all was fine, until the NAP inspector appeared. Rosendo went to greet him at the door, while continuing watch his videos.

Bess called Jules later that day asking to come and visit. Jules agreed letting her in the house. Mint woke up after her long afternoon nap, catching the two of them watching a movie together. Was she right ? Does Jules still have feelings for Jess ? Had this old relationship ended or was she still in denial ? Mint was starting to feel very insecure.

Heading back to bed, Rosendo woke up having a nightmare. Mint knew Jules was otherwise pre-occupied, so she attempted to settle Rosendo back to sleep. The stresses of seeing Jules & Bess together, along with parenting their child, had sent Mint into early Labor.

Once again she was heading to the hospital alone. No alien baby, guess she was already pregnant before abduction, ‘n’ its a girl!. Little Roselyn was born.

Both Jules & Mint went to work each day, taking turns watching Rosendo, becoming the perfect little family. One day, in particular, Jules was in a flirtatious mood and yes it lead to another night of passion, just as Rosendo was due to age to a toddler.

Using the in game randomizer to select traits for toddlers, Rosendo aged up.

Mint then had an opportunity to send a chain letter. Being the mischievous person she is, this opportunity could not be overlooked. Mint send it to several people including Bella Goth. Needless to say, Bella didn’t take it very well and responded to Mint. Immediately after receiving this message, Mint was abducted.

On arrival home, Mint became a little nauseous. What could have happened? Mint went to bed, feeling much the same the following morning. Not long afterwards, it was confirmed. Mint was pregnant once again.

Could this be an alien baby, I wonder?
